 Associate Sales Planning Manager

PURPOSE -

The purpose of the Associate Sales Planning position is to facilitate communication between Consumer Products and Foodservice Field Sales and internal departments at Heinz; coordinate various sales meetings including but not limited to Heinz North America Forum, National Sales Meetings, Customer Strategic Planning Sessions, and Team Meetings; manage the Meetings & Events budget, and individual meeting budgets. Create improved meeting processes; act as liaison between Sales / Innovation & Quality, and all internal departments and external contacts; and represent the Sales Company and IQ on Heinz North America meetings and events.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES -

- Orchestrate the coordination of all key Consumer Products/Foodservice Sales and IQ meetings including but not limited to the annual HNA Forum, National Sales Meeting, New Item Meetings, Team Meetings, Customer Strategic Planning Sessions, Industry Meetings (National Frozen and Refrigerated Food), etc. The end result is flawless meeting execution and event ROI maximization.

Continually develop Meetings and Events capabilities in order to maximize Meetings team, field sales and IQ productivity during meetings. Use of best in class meeting tools, etc.

- Manage the approx. $1 million Annual Meeting and Events budget. The end result is to accurately forecast and manage the meeting spends, and ensure Meetings and Events expenses and personal AMEX card expenses are processed and reported in a timely and accurate manner.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPENTENCIES -

Job Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree required

- 5+ Years Consumer Goods industry experience desirable - or -

- Experience in a creative role desirable (PR Firm, Ad Agency)

- Demonstrated creative abilities

- Proven project management skills

- Meeting Planning experience desirable

- MS Office Expertise

Responsibilities:

The Pittsburgh Territory Sales Manager engages in sales strategies to meet and exceed assigned goals.  This person aggressively identifies, pursues, and maintains new accounts, while maintaining the existing client base.  This individual represents the organization in industry related events and within the event industry.

 

Requirements:
